Frequently asked questions about products

Some of the Ice Switzerland jewellery is made of brass with a 14k/18k gold plating.

Some are made of 925 sterling silver with a 14k/18k gold plating.

Some are 14k/18k real gold.

Ice Switzerland’s stones are made of the following material: Cubic Zirconia Stones, VS Diamonds and VVS Diamonds.

Cubic Zirconia (also known as CZ) is a synthetic crystalline substance used as an alternative to diamonds. The man-made material is colourless, hard and flawless. … Today, Cubic Zirconia is one of the most popular stones used in jewellery to create attractive yet affordable pieces.

Wearing solid gold jewellery, white gold or yellow gold, in the shower will not harm the metal itself, but may reduce the shine and is therefore not recommended. Showering with gold-plated jewellery can eventually lead to the gold layer being completely worn away, so you should definitely refrain from doing so.

The 14k & 18k gildings should be durable, but like all types of plating, it does not tolerate strong external influence well. The gold plating wears over time and can flake off, exposing the underlying base metal. The gilding wears off over time and can flake off, exposing the underlying base metal. Generally, with proper care, the plating can last up to two years.

By taking proper care of gold-plated jewellery, you can prolong its life and keep it bright and beautiful. Here are some steps:

Keep gold-plated jewellery away from chemicals, oils and make-up. It’s a good idea to always put your plated jewellery on last, after you’ve applied make-up, hairspray and perfume. Take off gold-plated jewellery when doing housework as the chemicals in soaps, detergents and cleaning products can affect the plating.

It’s a good idea to keep your hands clean when handling gold-plated jewellery, so try to wash them before you take your jewellery on and off.

Do not expose gold-plated jewellery to chlorine or salt water. This means taking the jewellery off before swimming in pools, hot tubs or the sea.

Body oils and perspiration can affect the gold plating. To counteract this, wipe the jewellery or clean it regularly to get rid of these pollutants.

Regular cleaning of your gold-plated jewellery is important to prolong its life. To do this, use a mild liquid soap or a professional jewellery cleaning solution like this one-hand warm water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Avoid brushing or rubbing plated jewellery as this can cause it to flake off and expose the underlying metal.

Keep gold-plated jewellery from rubbing and friction as this will cause the piece to wear and flake off quickly. This can happen if you layer gold-plated jewellery and rub them together. It is best to wear the jewellery alone.

1. you have reached your credit limit

Maxing out your credit card or reaching your card’s credit limit is a surefire way to get your card declined.

2. travelling

If you make a purchase with your credit card while travelling, you may run into problems with your bank if you attempt the transaction in another city.

Logging a lot of credit card activity in different locations (both at home and abroad) throws up a warning message to credit card issuers that your card may be stolen. As a result, your issuer may block your accounts and prevent you from completing purchases to protect your information.

To avoid losing access to funds while travelling, inform your bank and credit card issuer in advance of your travel plans.

3. large purchases If you spend or save a lot of money and make a large purchase, your credit card issuer may flag your account. Similar to travel, any card activity that is outside of your usual spending habits can trigger fraud protection and cause your issuer to freeze your account, resulting in a card denial.

Again, notifying your credit card issuer of your spending changes helps ward off account freezes.

4. Incorrect payment information

When you’re trying to make your purchase, especially online or through a mobile app, it’s easy to enter a digit of your credit card number, expiry date or security code incorrectly. Or maybe your billing address is out of date. These can all be simple explanations for a declined transaction. Check your card information to make sure it is correct. In that case, you may need to contact your issuer to clear up any misunderstanding. In this case, you may need to contact your issuer to clear up any misunderstanding.

5. missed payments

After you have missed a payment for the first time, you should contact your issuer and settle the missed payment as soon as possible. However, if you have missed payments in the past, your card may be declined at checkout, even if you are only a few days past your due date.

6. an expired or deactivated credit card

Attempting to use an expired card or deactivated account will almost always result in your transaction being declined.

7. your card is blocked

Even large purchases can become a problem if your credit card is blocked. Car rental companies and hotels may block your credit card, which will not be lifted until a few days after check-out, or you return the vehicle.
